Rip is the main character of Dragon Sparking. He is a Dragonoid from the Draco Cluster. Rip is 19 years old as of the events of Heart of a Dragon.
Born to Ken and Dawn Scale-Rend, he has always idolized his parents and their chosen path of protecting the people of the Inter-Galactic Union from Anomalies that disrupt peace and potentially endanger life. Even when his parents vanished, he became even more determined to do them proud.
Rip became a Scout Ranger for the IGU both in order to protect their values and to find out what happened to them one day.
Rip’s biology as a Dragonoid affords him some extra durability from his scale like feathers, as well as the ability to exhale fire.
